Maricopa Community Colleges

The Maricopa County Community College District is comprised of ten independently accredited institutions. Each offers a unique set of for-credit and noncredit programs. The colleges enroll more than 140,000 students, making Maricopa one of the largest community college districts in the nation. Maricopa colleges are in the Phoenix, AZ area. For-credit instruction is offered academic, occupational, recreational / avocational (leisure), and adult basic education or high school equivalency, and secondary (high school) programs. Non-credit education is offered through workforce education, contract/customized training, developmental education, recreational / avocation / leisure / personal enrichment, adult basic education, adult high school diploma or equivalent, English as a second language, and continuing professional education programs. Across the ten colleges, the Maricopa colleges enroll more that 27,000 high school students in college courses for credit.

Student Affairs, marketing, communications, and case management processes supporting Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) objectives and related system functionality supporting Maricopa’s tracking of a student’s progress through the student life cycle.

Project Scope

Assessment of current system capabilities and, as appropriate, selection of a SEM product or products that are characterized as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and/or Case Management (CM) products.         

ISG Services

  • Develop a Vision Statement and Guiding Principles for the project
  • Develop the Project Governance Structure with assigned roles and responsibilities
  • Understand the current SEM environment to meet federal, state, and District policy or regulatory requirements
  • Assess the processes’ level of maturity, strengths, pain points, and areas of improvement
  • Develop functional and technical requirements that support the Maricopa-envisioned, future-state processes

Tarrant County College

Tarrant County College District is one of the largest community colleges in the nation. The website, collegeevaluator.com, ranks Tarrant as fourth by 2022 enrollment. Tarrant offers courses to learners in the Ft. Worth, Texas area on five physical campuses and through a virtual campus. Tarrant delivers for-credit instruction through academic, occupational, recreational / avocational (leisure), and adult basic education or high school equivalency programs. Non-credit education is offered through workforce education, contract/customized training, developmental education, recreational / avocation / leisure / personal enrichment, adult basic education, adult high school diploma or equivalent, English as a second language, and continuing professional education programs. During the academic year ending in 2023, Tarrant enrolled more than 11,000 high school students in college courses for credit. Tarrant operates as a single accredited institution.

In 2022, ASU engaged ISG to support its efforts to assess its current HCM/Payroll systems, and subsequently support the procurement of new HCM/Payroll software and a system integrator:

  • Discovery, research and analysis of current university policies and practices, system deficiencies and customizations to identify system requirements for the new HCM
  • Documented the findings in a comprehensive Current Systems Assessment report and presentation
  • Assisted ASU in finalizing the overall project scope including the list of features/functions to be deployed
  • Prepared and presented a Market Scan of the current HCM/Payroll systems landscape in higher education, including best practices, current and future market trends, and innovative solutions and technology
  • Assisted the University in determining the true cost of ownership of each viable HCM solution
  • Assisted and advised the University during the HCM software evaluation, selection, and contract process
  • Developed the procurement strategy for HCM/Payroll system integrator
  • Developed a Request for Proposal for ERP system integration services
